#ShesMyInspiration #ConstanceSpry

I am always looking for inspiration and people who catch my attention are those who show great passion for whatever they do. Those who keep going when others doubt them and those who make even the mundane interesting. This blog and my next will each be dedicated to someone who by their own #uniqueness caught my attention. #ConstanceSpry born 1886 was a secretary who fled a violent marriage, started a lifelong affair with Henry Spry, taking his name and turned her life around by following her passion for flower arranging becoming a famous florist and author. Her own turbulent life led her to understand unconventIonal and scorned passions, such as #WallisSimpson whose wedding flowers she arranged. Other people's disapproval did not dent her passion and drive, she kept going, believed in herself and proved from humble beginnings you can still achieve by believing in yourself and allowing your free and creative spirit to #escape from lifes mundanities.

Don't like me just use me

How do I promote my new business site? Social media is the way, or so I have been told. So whilst hiding behind the business name I am trying to promote through Facebook, Twitter, Instragram and Pinterest  which has resulted in 'likes', 'DMs', and retweets, but not one listing has been added to my site.  I have also gone down the PR route,  all new to me and learnt about Cision and Mailchimp, signed up for Cision but still nothing. In the two weeks since launch I have had an introduction to and used Hootsuite(for scheduling social posts), Feedly for curated content, Pixabay for free images and Canva for resizing images. My grey cells are hopping like a cat on a hot tin roof for which I am grateful but what I really wish is someone to list on my site.  Maybe blogs are the way to go, so if you are reading this, click on this link www.eWishy.com, join, add what you want and give me a chance phew!

Generosity of Spirit

Here I am finally launching my new site.  It  has not been easy but it certainly has been an education. My sleeping brain has awoken to new thoughts,  social media and web design and development. I don't know if it will succeed but whatever, it has been a success in teaching me new things and putting me in touch with kind people. For anyone with an idea, I would say don't give up, with the internet it can be done but do watch out for the wolves on the way.. there will be some, but also enjoy the kindness and generosity of those who I put under the umbrella of 'Generosity of Spirit'.  These are the people who want you to succeed and whom you may never meet. I say thanks to Oliver who rescued me from a web developer who took advantage of my lack of knowledge, to Vanessa, my wonderful Italian graphic designer, Mary-Ann who managed to make what was a very poorly designed site look better and Sandra who took me as a complete novice through Social Media and made me understand the benefits.  Still, I have so much more to learn and hope people  visit my site and list and I apologise in advance for wanting you to like me and my site. There is nothing better then to give.

Have you noticed that auction sites have metamorphosised into shopfronts. What started out as pure auction sites are now full of mass produced items making it difficult to find authentic items.  There are no longer any sites solely  dedicated to 'Wanted' items.   It was whilst spending too much time trawlng through hundreds of items and trying to find genuine old items that I came up with the idea of eWishy. By buyers and not sellers listing you have a site of entirely wanted items saving time for both buyers and sellers. It is always FREE to list and sellers can focus on genuine buyers. On the long finger

'Dont put it on the long finger' is a favourite saying of mine.  Being of Irish origin, I often get blank looks when I use it in the U.K.  It simply means don't put something off, a shorter version of don't put off tomorrow what you can do today.  So next time you think someone is delaying or procastinating, tell them to 'Stop putting it on the long finger' and save our quirky sayings being forgotten.

Be you, to be Cool!

Keeping up with the Jones is no longer fashionable, being different is.  Celebrate your difference.  What was once odd is the new Cool.  Walk past the high street with their bleak sameness, it ain't cool to be a fool. Stand out from the crowd, one day as a Tiger or life as a sheep, you choose.  Thank you to all you who give me hope and pleasure by using imagination not money.

Zaha Hadid

Brilliant! A women in a mans world. She stuck to what she belived in and thrived, despite the lack of recognition here in the  U.K, she was successful without compromising on her vision. We can all learn from her. RIP

When will I launch this site.  It has been a huge learning curve and has thought me patience and the very different world of techno geeks or not as has sometimes be the case.
